Your Role
As a care assistant, you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients.
Your tasks will include:

• Providing the very best care and support to clients in line with their personalised care plans
• Attending to client's personal care needs, including showering, dressing and other daily activities
• Assisting clients with their medication requirements
• Working as part of the care team, using a holistic approach, to look at every aspect of our client's care

Role Requirements

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or Home & Community Care
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence and reliable source of transport (vehicle to be Registered, Insured with Comprehensive Insurance and maintained in a Roadworthy state)
• Current National Police Check, prior to commencement
• First aid and CPR certificates, required within one month of commencement
• Where applicable Working with Children Check will also be required

This ideal live-in situation is for an experienced and mature live-in personal carer assistant looking for a quiet work/life balance. You will have lots of free time so it's an opportune time to get back to that hobby you always wanted to finish.

This position will see you assisting with a variety of tasks including some or all of the following:

• Personal care;
• Meal preparation;
• Domestic housekeeping;

We also have work in the St Albans and surrounding areas assisting client with personal care, home care, transport etc.

Essential Criteria

Following are the minimal skills, certificates, and qualifications required to be suitable for the position:

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent industry experience in a similar role;
• Willing to live-in (generally less than 6-8 hours of care provided within a 24-hour period);
• 6 months minimum Australian based experience
• Demonstrated experience in caring for the elderly;
• Provide a warm, safe, supportive and caring environment;
• Can commit to a minimum 12 months;
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality;
• First Aid Certificate;
• Manual Handling Certificate;
• Recent Police check;
• Valid Driver's Licence and driving history;
• Two (2) current referees;
• Start – Immediately;
